Oil and salt according to taste

Method

Put 2 cups of dal in a pressure cooker along with 2 cups of water. Add salt and turmeric powder in it and cook it on a medium flame. Switch off the flame after 2 whistles and then keep it aside. Take another pan and put oil in it and heat it. Now, add kalonji seeds and allow them to splutter. After that, add chopped garlic and sauté it for a few minutes. Now, add green chillies and tomatoes and let them fry until tomatoes become softer. Now add the cooked dal and mix it well. Keep the dal on medium flame for 3-4 minutes and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
