Tragacanth gum or Gond Katira
Easily available at grocery stores and usually used in ladoos, it is high in fibre, which helps you lose weight and reducing belly fat. It is usually taken with cold milk and known to protect from heatstroke, besides weight loss. One can have it in lemonade or vegetable juices.
Coconut water is a very refreshing drink high in electrolytes, especially potassium which helps reduce water retention. Also, the tender coconut fruit is incredibly rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Coconut contains significant amounts of medium chain triglycerides (MCT) – fatty acids of medium length – which is linked to healthy weight loss.
An all-time favourite fruit for people watching weight during summers. It is better to have it as fruit and not in form of juice. Avoid putting salt on it. Last advise on watermelon, sprinkle some flaxseeds or pumpkin seeds or 5-6 peanuts to get more weight loss benefits.
Sweet lemon or sweet lime (Mausambi)
High in fibre and vitamin C, the fruit is an apt choice for weight loss. One may have 4-5 sweet lemons in a day but not in the form of juice. By juicing sweet lime you lose out on fibre which gives you the feeling of fullness.
This spiky fruit can actually help you lose weight. It contains bromelain which helps to break down protein. On a weight loss diet, the intake of protein is usually high which can cause stomach bloating. Taking pineapple can be helpful in reducing bloating, making the weight to drop on the scale. Along with the above mentioned foods, one must exercise for at least 30-40 minutes per day. Remember to hydrate yourself with coconut water or lemonade during exercise but no energy drinks or caffeinated beverages as they dehydrate your system.
