Weight loss is all about eating right, consuming just enough calories to ensure you have energy throughout the day, and burning the excess to ensure they do not get stored in your body. However, finding time to exercise is not something we are able to do effectively and consistently, and it can take a toll on our weight loss journey.
It is important that you make time for exercise in your routine, and find ways to incorporate it in your schedule. Exercising while cooking or preparing for your meals, watching TV, or including physical activity in your life by climbing stairs, walking, etc can help you with weight loss, and a healthy body in general. You can also do a small workout right after you wake up, as a morning ritual, to help you burn some calories at the beginning of the day. It will also help you give a good start to your day.
Some exercises you can do right after you wake up
1.Jumping jacks: Jumping jacks are an exercise that involves your whole body, and is a great cardio workout to burn some calories. You can do the exercise along with others, or just do this exercise in sets. To perform jumping jacks, stand with your body straight, and legs shoulder-width apart. Keep your hands on the sides. While taking a jump, stretch your legs out, and take your hands upwards, above your head. Come back to the initial position immediately, with another jump. Do 10 jumping jacks in each set, and you can repeat the set in a while.
2.Skipping: Skipping is one of the easiest exercises out there, and really helps to burn some calories. Skipping can be performed easily, and requires only one equipment – the rope. The skipping rope is pretty portable, and you can fold it and put it in your bag, even when you are travelling. Skipping is a good workout for the heart, as well as helps in weight loss.
3.Burpees: Burpees are a slightly difficult exercise, but with practice, you can master it. It is a whole body workout, and can help in burning calories, and may also help in strengthening the heart. To perform burpees, stand straight. Go down on all fours, into a plank position, and then get back up with a jump. Perform the exercise in sets.
Benefits of exercising in the morning
